Albert Packing Company was founded in 1924 by a german immigrant, George E. Albert in Washington, Pennsylvania. Albert’s supplied sausage, luncheon meats, fresh beef, and pork to all the local butcher shops within 25 miles.
Albert’s Meats continued to grow through innovation, service and the quality and consistency of their products.
In 1961, the grandson of Mr. Albert, George P. Weiss, started his own meat business, Green Valley Packing Company. In 1976, Mr. Weiss took over the Albert’s brand. With Mr. Weiss’ hard work, innovations, and reputation, the business continued to grow.
Now 100 years later and with the 4th and 5th generation operating the business, Green Valley Packing Company, Albert’s Meats is continuing to innovate, manufacture and co-manufacture a variety of products for the food industry.
